Liberty Life Kenya and Heritage Insurance Kenya yesterday dominated at the Think Business Insurance 2020 Awards held on Thursday February 18th 2021, winning the coveted Life Insurer of the year and General Insurer of the year respectively. By doing so, affirming their efficiency in insurance provision and valuable financial advisory services to Kenyans.
Heritage Insurance topped in 7 other categories including the Best Insurance Company in Technology and Digital Application; Product Innovation, Fraud Detection and Prevention, Medical Underwriter of the Year, Customer Service, Best Insurance Company in Product Distribution and Marketing and Best Company in Sustainable CSR. Heritage also emerged second in Claims Settlement, Major Loss, Customer Satisfaction (General) award categories, while emerging third in the Training, Customer Satisfaction (Medical) and Risk Management Awards.
On its heels, Liberty Life Assurance also won the Customer Service and Training Awards. It came second in Best Insurance Company in Technology Application; Product Innovation, Risk Management, Fraud Detection and Prevention, Claims Settlement and Best Underwriter in Customer Satisfaction (Life) Awards – while bagging third in Product Distribution and Marketing, Best Company in CSR, Best in Technology and Digital Applications Awards.
In a joint statement on the awards wins, Heritage and Liberty Life Managing Directors said the awards were uplifting following a tough year: "The wins vindicate that the Group’s efforts to remain relevant in our customer lives following a difficult pandemic-accelerated year was worth it. They not only demonstrate our value in protecting and creating wealth but in mitigating risk and we can only do better" said the statement.
The Think Business Insurance 2020 Awards were held via virtual ceremony, as a health measure. The annual event is organized by Think Business Limited, a strategic research and publishing company specializing in the financial sector, with an aim to recognise and celebrate outstanding performance over the past financial year.
